Bio

Wil Kondrich is an artist steeped in the tradition of the great Steeltown rockers. Mixing original rock, blues, and folk with a shot of desperation and a tinge of hope, Wil is one of the hardest working musicians in Pittsburgh! In addition to his original solo work, recordings, and performances, Wil is the sound engineer for the legendary Bill Toms & Hard Rain (often joining the band as a guest guitarist during their live performances). Wil also plays guitar in support of Bill Toms’ intimate acoustic singer-songwriter shows, traveling up and down the East Coast.

Wil plays lead guitar for Tom Breiding & Union Railroad. Wil is also lead guitarist for Pittsburgh rockers, The Pump Fakes, fronted by Patrick Maloney.  He also plays lead guitar for the highly acclaimed Johnny Cash tribute band, Cash4Life and plays electric guitar and sings for Pittsburgh’s premier “sea-shanty-rockers” The Cheer’ly Men

Wil’s debut EP Faded Dreams (available on iTunes, Spotify, & CD Baby), produced at AmeriSon Studios by Tom Breiding, received much local critical acclaim and his newest record, Southside Sarah, also produced by Breiding, is due out in early 2024! Wil's weekly live "Walking the Dog" Front Porch Concerts, begun at the start of the Covid-19 Pandemic in 2020, continue into 2024 and have been featured on WTAE-TV (Channel-4), KDKA-TV (Channel-2); WESA-Radio; The Beaver County Times, and The Pittsburgh Catholic!

Wil is a 2016 graduate of Capital University in Columbus, Ohio with a degree in Music Technology/Sound Engineering. He is a graduate of the Recording Workshop (REC-W) in Chillicothe, Ohio and has worked as a sound engineer with Horse-Drawn Productions in Chicago, Illinois and The Saturday Light Brigade Radio Show, in Pittsburgh, PA.

When he's not performing, producing, or engineering music, Wil works fulltime as an industrial Safety Inspector for Pittsburgh-based, System One; crawling and climbing through local steel mills!  In August of 2022, Wil married his lifelong love and best friend Aubrey Barker! They are joyously expecting their first child in September of this year (2024)!
